Cammell Laird to support Battle of the Atlantic Memorial charity
Cammell Laird has chosen to adopt the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial as its official company charity for 2020 and 2021.
The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest campaign of World War Two. It began on September 3, 1939 and lasted until VE Day, May 8, in 1945.
In January 2018, The Battle of the Atlantic Memorial charity launched its campaign to have the UK’s national memorial built on Liverpool’s waterfront.
Cammell Laird’s Chief Operating Officer Tony Graham said that alongside fundraising activities, the company would work to help to raise the charity’s local, national and international profile.
