Cammell Laird, have provided off-site service to the both commercial and military customers across the length of the UK and Europe, undertaking planned and emergency dry dockings in remote sites and completing maintenance at port & military facilities across the UK. Most recently Cammell Laird have demonstrated ‘global reach’ capability by supporting the UK MoD as prime contractor for RFA Bayleaf’s maintenance periods in Dubai and for her refit at Keppel Shipyard in Singapore.
For support in the UK or abroad, Cammell Laird is strategically placed for fast response times. There is excellent access to the road network. The Shipyard is located adjacent to the A41 dual carriageway trunk road, 2 miles from the M53 and the national motorway network. Bases on the Clyde or the South Coast can be reached within 4-5 hours by road
For travel abroad, the Shipyard is 25 minutes by road from Liverpool International Airport and 40 minutes by road from Manchester International Airport.
To augment Cammell Laird’s ability to react quickly, and to offer truly global capability Cammell Laird have a number of arrangements with other ship-repair and engineering organisations out-with its established supplier network.
With respect to worldwide operations, Cammell Laird have an alliance agreement with Keppel Shipyard Ltd, a member of one of the largest ship-repair and marine engineering companies in the world. This gives Cammell Laird access to large shipyard facilities and skilled personnel worldwide. Keppel have shipyard facilities spread across the world.
