Cammell Laird is committed to developing its workforce to ensure that the business has resources in the future to fulfil its commercial obligations in a safe and productive manner to the quality standards required.
Historically the company has a long and proud history of employing apprentices and has trained and developed hundreds of employees as apprentices, providing them with skills for life from our bespoke training centre.

The key trades include; mechanical engineering, pipe fitting, welding fabrication. In addition to this training the apprentices are linked to NVQ and City & Guilds qualifications. The training takes place in partnership with the Marine and Engineering College North West (MECNW).
The company also offers a wide range of semi-skilled training programmes, including; painting and blasting, scaffolding and forklift truck operations.
