Based in the Port of Liverpool and owned by the Mersey Docks & Harbour Company the Mersey Mammoth is a unique facility available to the shipyard at short notice.
The vessels 250 tonne lift capacity and 500 sq metre cargo deck makes her ideal to support large engineering projects afloat and is a regular visitor to the yard.
Key to her capability is the Voith Schneider propulsion system which allows the vessel to transit whilst carrying her payload on the crane. This facility is ideal for installing prefabricated units or heavy items of equipment on repair berths.
